Pronunciation: acquire accuracy of pronunciation, and skillfully use the phonetic system Pinyin;
Listening: understand short conversations and narratives delivered by native speakers in real life situations;
Speaking: be able to ask and answer questions related to the topics introduced; create and conduct simple daily-life conversations with accuracy and fluency;
Reading: comprehend short dialogues/passages written with the characters and phrases learned;
Writing: write/type short dialogues/paragraphs with about 250 simplified characters;
Grammar: understand and use basic grammatical structures to handle various oral and written tasks with accuracy and flexibility
